2025-2026 School Tax collection begins on Monday, September 1st. Due to the Labor Day holiday, the first day our office will be open for collection will be on Tuesday, September 2nd.
The Tax Warrant for the collection of school taxes on property situated in the town of Henrietta for the Rush-Henrietta Central School District and the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District gives notice to begin collection effective September 1, 2025 and to end collection as of October 31, 2025. School tax bills are being mailed to real property owners as required by Real Property Tax Law Section 922. If you are responsible for payment of the School Tax and have not received your tax bill by September 5, 2025, please email townclerk [at] henrietta.org (townclerk[at]henrietta[dot]org) or call (585) 359-7035 to request a duplicate tax bill at no charge.
The terms of payment are specified therein and are herewith published as follows:
INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS: School District tax payers with tax bills of $50.00 or more are eligible to use the three-installment payment plan. To take advantage of this plan, the first installment must be made on or before September 15, 2025. The second installment is due on or before October 15, 2025 and the third installment is due on or before November 15, 2025. The second and third installments must be made payable to the “Monroe County Treasurer” and payments may be made in person during regular business hours at 39 W. Main St., Room B-2, Rochester, NY 14614 or mailed to Monroe County Treasurer, PO Box 14420, Rochester, NY 14614. Installment payments are subject to a service charge and there is a 5-day grace period from September 16th through September 20th with a 1% interest charge.
FULL PAYMENTS: Full tax payments may be made on or before October 1, 2025 with no interest or service charge. Payments received postmarked after that date will be charged 2% interest. Should the due date fall on a weekend or legal holiday, payment can be made on the next business day, without penalty. If payment is not received by October 31, 2025, the unpaid tax will be turned over to the County of Monroe for collection.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: Checks are to be made payable to “Henrietta Receiver of Taxes” and may be deposited in the drop box at Henrietta Town Hall, available 24 hours a day; mailed to P.O. Box 579, Henrietta, NY 14467; made in person, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Henrietta Town Hall, 475 Calkins Road, Rochester, NY 14623; or made online at www.monroecounty.gov. Please note that when paying in person, the Town Clerk’s Office can only accept cash or check payments.
