MapLink™, an online zoning platform developed by General Code of Rochester, NY, was recently added to the Town of Henrietta’s website to assist business owners and property owners in finding essential zoning information needed to make decisions about their property. This new tool will help everyone easily navigate the sometimes-complicated world of local zoning regulations.
Getting down to the details
Powered by technology created by ZoningHub® of Lake Mills, WI, MapLink provides fast online access to important property details such as dimensional standards, allowable uses, and zoning districts – right down to the parcel level. MapLink summarizes and helps direct users through the procedures required to start a development project or business startup. Users quickly get all this information with just a few clicks and can even share that information via email. The Town of Henrietta already uses General Code’s eCode360® platform to house our municipal code which allows a seamless link to zoning information via the MapLink platform.
Simplifying workflows
An attractive feature of MapLink that resonated with Town of Henrietta officials is the fact that just about anyone who has a question about a particular piece of property or zoning area can quickly find the information they need, without having to sift through other zoning details that may not be relevant to their particular situation. As updates are made to the Town of Henrietta’s zoning code and posted on eCode360, these changes will also be updated in MapLink to ensure that users are working with the most accurate and up-to-date zoning information.
